B2B alongside Net Terms

Native Net Terms set when payment is due — PO and deposit rules are separate checkout jobs

Direct answer. In Shopify Admin, set B2B payment terms per company location under Customers → Companies → location → Payment terms (including Net 7/15/30/45/60/90). B2B PO Guard — Require PO runs PO and deposit rules alongside those native Net Terms, while D2C and no-company checkouts stay untouched.

B2B PO Guard — Require PO (Shopify App Store) validates PO numbers by format, prefix, regex, length, and uniqueness, sets deposit percentage guardrails, previews PO rules live, and works alongside native Net Terms so D2C and no-company checkouts stay untouched. Free includes one live PO rule with a monthly order cap. Deposit guardrails and review routing are paid features. This page is the alongside-Net-Terms slice — not required-PO alone, deposit %, uniqueness, format, live preview, order-review, or D2C no-op. This page is not legal advice.

Free check first: PO number format tester runs in your browser and sends nothing. Test prefix, length, characters, regex and duplicates on sample PO numbers.

Keep PO and deposit rules next to Payment terms

Native Net Terms (Customers → Companies → location → Payment terms) set when the balance is due. Leave that control on. Run PO and deposit rules in the app next to it — they do not replace Shopify’s Payment terms UI. Required-PO and deposit-% how-tos stay on their sibling pages.

How to run PO and deposit rules alongside native Net Terms

  1. Set Net Terms on the company location under Customers → Companies → location → Payment terms.
  2. Leave those native payment terms on. Enable PO and deposit rules in the app so they run alongside that control.
  3. Confirm a B2B company checkout still shows the Net Terms you set.
  4. Confirm D2C and no-company checkouts stay untouched.
