Textile fibre composition checker

Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 has applied since 8 May 2012 (EUR-Lex). By then a Shopify store selling textiles online should have shown fibre composition using Annex I names before purchase: FibreLedger Textile Labels on the Shopify App Store.

Direct answer. Paste one fibre per line with its percentage, for example 60% cotton. The page shows whether each name is on the English list in Annex I of Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011, points out trade names such as Lycra or Tencel with the Annex I name to consider, and adds up your percentages. It runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.

This is a quick self-check, not legal advice and not what any app checks. To check every fibre in your catalog against the Annex I catalogue in English, German and French, try FibreLedger Textile Labels (Shopify App Store).

What the checker looks at

Write one fibre per line, for example 60% cotton. Names in other languages, the “other fibres” wording, tolerances and the rules for linings and decorative parts are not checked. A line marked “Annex I name” only means the name is on the list. Confirm against the regulation text and read the EU textile label guide.
