EUDR Information System

The Information System is the TRACES tool for due diligence statements. PRODUCTION submissions have legal value

Direct answer. The EUDR Information System is the Commission’s online tool on the TRACES platform where operators and their authorised representatives create and submit due diligence statements and simplified declarations. The Commission’s Information System page says: “The Information System is a specialised online tool of the TRACES platform. It allows operators and their authorised representatives to create due diligence statements and simplified declarations, and submit them to the relevant authorities to show that their products do not cause deforestation, in compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).” The same page says it functions pursuant to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084, amended pursuant to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1565. This page is not legal advice.

EUDR Records Manager (Shopify App Store · Write a review) tracks supplier lots, product links, missing fields, document packs, CSV exports, and audit logs for EUDR record review. It does not submit to the Information System.

The legal basis the page names

The Commission page says: “The Information System functions pursuant to the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084, which was amended pursuant to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1565.” EUR-Lex records those acts. The English work title of Regulation (EU) 2024/3084 is “COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2024/3084 on the functioning of the information system pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the making available on the Union market and the export from the Union of certain commodities and products associated with deforestation and forest degradation.” The English work title of Regulation (EU) 2026/1565 is “COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2026/1565 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3084 as regards the submission of due diligence statements, simplified declarations for micro or small primary operators, contingency arrangements and other measures simplifying the use of the information system.”

PRODUCTION and ACCEPTANCE

The page says due diligence statements and simplified declarations submitted in the PRODUCTION server “have legal value and their content can be subject to checks by Competent Authorities.” The production login it links is eudr.webcloud.ec.europa.eu/tracesnt/login.

ACCEPTANCE is for “training, familiarisation and testing.” The page says the ACCEPTANCE server is a replica of the PRODUCTION server with the same functionalities, and that submissions in the ACCEPTANCE server do not have legal value and cannot be used for demonstrating compliance with EUDR. It also says: “registering an account in one environment (e.g. ACCEPTANCE server) does not automatically grant access or registration in the other environment (e.g. PRODUCTION server).” Users should complete separate registrations for each environment, as required.

Registration steps are in the User Guide linked from that page. This review did not read the guide’s step list, so this page says: follow the Information System User Guide on the Commission Information System page. It does not describe an EU Login sequence.

What you enter

The page says: “To create a due diligence statement or simplified declaration, the operator selects the type of product and indicates characteristics such as HS code, product description, and quantity.” On origin, it says operators can indicate the exact origins of products by drawing areas on a map, or by providing coordinates individually or in bulk, and that coordinates can be provided in bulk in a file using the GeoJSON standard format. The file rules are EUDR GeoJSON format. The regulation’s plot rules are EUDR geolocation.

On the API, the page says: “The API reference documentation for economic operators integrating with the EUDR Information System is publicly available on CIRCABC.” CIRCABC folder links return 404 as of this update, so use the Commission Information System page for the current API documentation link. It also says users developing APIs should consult that folder regularly for updates.

Who uses it

The page says: “Any operator and their authorised representatives and traders may use the publicly available online version of the Information System. This is where operators declare that due diligence has been performed before placing on the EU market or exporting such products that are in scope of the EUDR.” Who is an operator and who is a trader is operator vs trader. Reference numbers that downstream parties keep are the DDS reference number. A statement example is the due diligence statement example. Lot records are the DDS lot registry. This page does not repeat those roles.

On simplified declarations, the page describes training whose primary audience is micro or small primary operators (MSPOs), and the 2026/1565 title quoted above names simplified declarations for micro or small primary operators. Training session dates are omitted here because they expire. The contact address on the Commission page is omitted.

Application dates are not restated. Read EUDR scope: 2026 vs mid-2027.
