Textile environmental-impact fields
Annex I fibre names are not environmental-impact fields — record impact information separately
Direct answer. Shopify Admin product fields do not give you a dedicated textile environmental-impact record next to fibre composition — you can paste impact copy into the description, but nothing structures environmental-impact information for textile listings the way Annex I names fibre composition. FibreLedger records environmental-impact information on textile products alongside Annex I fibre checks and French origin fields.
FibreLedger Textile Labels (Shopify App Store) checks every fibre name against the official Annex I catalogue in EN, DE and FR, flags trade names such as Lycra, records French origin and environmental-impact information, and retains EPR registration and audit records. The app does not decide legal compliance. This page is not legal advice.

Free check first: Textile fibre composition checker runs in your browser and sends nothing. Check fibre names against the EU Annex I list and that the blend adds up to 100%.
Fibre composition and environmental-impact are different fields
Annex I names answer “what is the fibre called.” Environmental-impact information answers a different buyer and regulator question. Keeping impact copy only in the description mixes claims with composition and makes audit harder than structured fields.
How to record environmental-impact information on textile products
- Confirm fibre composition uses Annex I names (not trade names).
- Record environmental-impact information in the product impact fields.
- Add French places of manufacture when the listing targets France.
- Confirm the live product page shows composition and impact information as intended.
Not the same as Annex I names, France origin, or EPR audit records
- Annex I fibre names — EU textile fibre composition.
- France places of manufacture — France origin vs Annex I.
- EPR registration / audit — textile EPR records.
- Generic green claims — EU generic environmental claims ban.
Install FibreLedger → record environmental-impact fields → confirm product page
What this page is not
