Cited green-claim flags

Scanning eco wording is not enough — you need the cited provision on each flag

Direct answer. Shopify Admin has no product-copy scanner that maps eco marketing wording to a cited legal provision — you can edit descriptions by hand, but nothing flags a green claim and names the rule it cites. Green Claims Guard flags green-claim wording and names the exact provision it cites, then you review flags before publishing cleaned copy.

Green Claims Guard (Shopify App Store) scans green marketing wording in your catalog and content, flags green-claim wording and names the exact provision it cites, and exports dated evidence records for review. It does not decide whether a claim is lawful. This page is not legal advice.

Why a cited provision matters on each flag

A generic “possible issue” without a provision leaves merchants guessing which EmpCo / UWG / origin rule applies. Naming the exact provision on the flag is a different job from keeping a dated evidence vault for a claim you already chose to keep.
