EmpCo recyclable wording

"Recyclable" on the product page is not a carbon-neutral offset claim - scan and specify, or remove it

Green Claims Guard (Shopify App Store) scans green marketing wording in your catalog and content, flags green-claim wording and names the exact provision it cites, and exports dated evidence records for review. It does not decide whether a claim is lawful. This page is not legal advice.

Recyclable is an end-of-life claim, not recycled-content percent

A recyclable (or "fully recyclable") line tells the shopper what happens after use. That is not the same as a recycled-content percent in the material, and not the same as carbon-neutral / offset wording. EmpCo / unfair commercial-practice rules for environmental claims still sit behind those words - confirm Directive (EU) 2024/825 with counsel; this page does not invent a safe substitute phrase.

  1. Scan titles, descriptions, and badges for recyclable / recycling claims.
  2. Open each flag and read the provision it cites.
  3. Specify the claim on the same page with supportable detail, or remove it.
  4. Export dated evidence records when you keep a specific, reviewable claim.
