EU repair information checker
Directive (EU) 2024/1799 has applied since 31 July 2026 (EUR-Lex). By then a Shopify store selling to EU consumers should have kept a retrievable repair record for requests it accepts, including the purchase check and the repair information the customer saw: RepairProof EU on the Shopify App Store.
Direct answer. Paste your repair policy or a product page, for example Repairs are carried out by Example Repair GmbH, Hauptstraße 1, 10115 Berlin. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Typical turnaround 5 working days.. The page shows which conditions of the European Repair Information Form in Article 4(4) of Directive (EU) 2024/1799 your text seems to mention and which it does not, plus questions on the obligation to repair and the legal guarantee, each as a question to check. It does not say whether your policy complies. It runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.
This is a reading aid, not legal advice and not what any app checks. To verify purchases before accepting repair requests, issue revision-linked repair forms with checksums, and track diagnosis, quote, repair, return and closure, try RepairProof EU (Shopify App Store).

Where the questions come from
The first rows follow the conditions of repair that the European Repair Information Form must specify under Article 4(4)(a) to (j) of Directive (EU) 2024/1799 on common rules promoting the repair of goods (the form itself is in Annex I), plus Article 4(2) and (3) on the form being free of charge and on diagnostic costs, and Article 4(5) on the 30 calendar days the conditions may not change. The product-category prompts come from the ten points of Annex II (goods with Union repairability requirements), which decide where the Article 5 obligation to repair and the Article 6 information duty apply. The other prompts come from Article 5(4) to (8) on spare parts, indicative prices, practices that impede repair and the consumer’s choice of repairer, from Article 16, which amends Directive (EU) 2019/771 on the legal guarantee (right to choose repair or replacement, a one-time 12-month extension of the liability period when goods are repaired), and from Articles 21 and 22 (national measures apply from 31 July 2026).
The page looks for words in what you paste. It cannot tell whether you are the manufacturer, the seller or the repairer, or whether a product is covered; the facts and your national law decide that. Annex II can be updated by delegated acts (Article 5(9)), so check for later changes. Read Directive (EU) 2024/1799 on EUR-Lex and the guides on EU right-to-repair proof and tracking repair requests.

What this page is not
- Not legal advice and not a statement that your policy or service does or does not comply.
- Not what RepairProof EU matches or checks; the app is what counts.
- Not a check of your national law, your contracts or the Annex I form layout, and not a decision on who must repair.
- Not a data collector: text you paste stays in this browser tab. Nothing is sent or stored.
