Recycled-content percent
A bare “recycled” badge is not a recycled-content percent — specify the share on the same product page
Green Claims Guard (Shopify App Store) scans green marketing wording in your catalog and content, flags green-claim wording and names the exact provision it cites, and exports dated evidence records for review. It does not decide whether a claim is lawful. This page is not legal advice.

Free check first: Green claim wording self-check runs in your browser and sends nothing. Paste product copy and see which environmental wording to review.
Generic “recycled” vs a percent you can show on the same page
Unspecialised green wording on the product page — including bare “recycled” style claims without a clear share or scope — sits next to the generic environmental-claim job covered in EU generic green claims ban. A recycled-content percent on the same medium (for example “contains 30% post-consumer recycled plastic”) is a different, specified statement: the number and what it covers must appear where the shopper sees the claim. Confirm Directive (EU) 2024/825 and your counsel before you publish; this page does not invent a safe slogan.

Scan catalog copy, review cited flags, keep dated evidence
- Scan product titles, descriptions, and badges for green-claim wording.
- Open each flag and read the provision it cites.
- Replace a bare recycled line with a specified recycled-content percent on the same page, or remove the claim.
- Export dated evidence records when you keep a supportable, specific claim for review.

Not the same as carbon-neutral offsets, Made in USA, or UWG German pack
- Carbon-neutral / offset claims — EmpCo carbon sibling: carbon-neutral offset claims.
- Recyclable — a recycling-end-of-life claim, not recycled-content percent. See recyclable claim wording.
- Made in USA — origin under 16 CFR Part 323. See Made in USA claims.
- German UWG pack — inflected DE wording. See German UWG green claims.

What this page is not
- Not legal advice or a compliance certification.
- Not a lab assay of recycled content; the app scans and cites wording you publish.
- Not a substitute for the generic-ban or EmpCo carbon siblings when those are your questions.
